Rev. Eric Bufford

Rev. Eric P. Bufford passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020. He was born January 30, 1951 in Akron, Ohio.  He graduated from South High School in 1970 and went on to Bowling Green State University. He was married to the Debra (Smith) Bufford for 42 years and together they pastored Greater Covenant International Ministries in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Allene (Bufford) Hammonds, and wife Debra Bufford.

He is survived by three children, Deana Bufford, Phillip (Priscilla) Bufford and Ericka (Andre) Lessears; grandchildren Brian, Michael, Andre Jr., Mackenzie, Erik, Zoe, Alyssa, Lucas, and Collette, two great-grandchildren Breanna and Mercedes; sisters Marsha (Albert) Board, Mignon (Donzell) Wright, and Pamela (Joseph) Livingston, and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Temple Baptist Church, 515 Ardella Ave., Akron, OH. Condolences may be sent to 990 Pelee Dr. Akron, OH 44333.
