MaryAnn Wilson-Maxwell

February 4, 1947 — October 27, 2021

MaryAnn Wilson-Maxwell went home to be with Lord on October 27,2021 after a long Courageous battle with breast cancer MaryAnn was born to the union of Hortense and Pete Starks on February 4, 1947 in Pomaria South Carolina. MaryAnn grew up in Ravena, Ohio and was the eldest girl of 9 siblings. MaryAnn graduated from Central high school and relocated to Akron, Ohio where she graduated from the University of Akron and Logos Bible Institute. MaryAnn married her high schooI sweetheart, Walter L Wilson and to that union bore her one and only daughter Tiffany L Wilson, Who she cherished and loved dearly.

MaryAnn worked for St. Thomas hospital as a nurse assistant for many years and then went on to work and retire from The City of Akron where she worked for and dedicated over 25 years of her life to as a Sanitarian worker. MaryAnn married Allen H Maxwell Jr, On January 30th, 1 983. Where they Shared 33 beautiful years of marriage. MaryAnn dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was known for her beautiful infectious smile, kind heart and her love for people. MaryAnn was an active member at Arlington Church of God where she taught new members class and hosted several women’s bible study groups in her home for over 14 years. MaryAnn loved the lord and enjoyed working in the church ministry where she could spread her love and enjoyment for the word of God.

MaryAnn is preceded in death by her parents: Hortense Fortson and Pete Starks: Grandfather: Walter Livingston‥ Grandmother: Inez Livingston: Brothers: Ezell Starks: Sisters: Edna May Fortson, Emma Dee Heller. Loving Husband Allen H Maxwell Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Tiffany L Wilson, 3 grandchildren who she cherished dearly Trevon Bennett, Ayshia Bennett and A’Niyah Bennett. Great-grandchildren Mackenzie and Harleigh Hamilton・ Brother: Abdul Karim Ar-Rasheed Sisters: Mary Lousie Bell, Holly K. Roper, Betty Jean Fortson, (All of Ohio); Wynter (Michael) Walker of California, and a host of relatives and friends
