Fred Gadson passed away peacefully on February 14, 2020. Born July 29, 1956 in Akron, OH. He was the 4th child of Thomas Sr. and Lena Gadson. Fred was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. He graduated Buchtel High school in 1974 and was an US Army Veteran. Fred loved good food especially pork chops, Ohio sports his favorite team was the Cleveland Indians, Gunsmoke, and great music. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Sr. and Lena Gadson, brothers, Eddie and Tom Jr., along with his granddaughter Lanayja Turner. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Tracy "Yashiv" (Ziva) Gadson, Lisa (Rashawn) McCraney, Kymberly (Aaron) Gadson-Brown, Blade (Latashia) Sherman, and Fred Owens; siblings Evon Gadson-Harris and Robert Gadson, Anne Gadson along with 19 grandchildren, nephew Anthony Gadson, niece Theressa Biddle, great nephew Diamond Norris, great niece ReAna Gadson, special cousin Carl Brown, Cincinnati family, Brown family, other cousins and a host friends.
Fred was loved and cherished by many. While Fred "Black Bird" Gadson is absent from our physical presence he will forever be exist in our hearts.
The family would like to express love and gratitude and a heartfelt thank you to the Rose Lane nursing home where he lived and the hospice team for their care during his final time on this earth.
