Amber Broadus

Amber Denise Broadus, 30, went home to be with The Lord on January 21, 2022.

Amber was born in Akron, Ohio, on October 2, 1991. Amber was later adopted by Abner and Sharon Broadus when she was 3 years old.

Amber graduated from Emmanuel Christian Academy in Akron, Ohio, and attended public schools in Akron, Tuslaw, and Mansfield.  Amber began playing the cello in elementary school and played for several years, even meeting the world-renowned cellist, Yo-Yo Ma.

Amber attended The House of the Lord with her family when she was younger, accepted Christ and was baptized there, and also ministered with the Nursery Ministry, Dance Ministry, and during The House of The Lord’s “Jesus and Me” Children’s conferences.

Amber was employed at Fairfield Inn & Suites Mansfield Lexington Springmill at the time of her passing and was a devoted mother to her children, Rael and Larry.  She made friends wherever she went and had a great sense of humor!

Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dalton “Billy” Broadus, Getter Huggins, and Mary Huggins, and her uncle, Eric Broadus.

Amber leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Rael G. Griffin and Larry Broadus; loving grandmothers, Beatrice Broadus and Kathy Kolek; parents, Abner Broadus and Sharon Broadus; siblings, Samuel E. Broadus, Matthew E. (Rachelle) Broadus, LaMont A. Broadus, and adopted sister, Christina (Corey) Wilcox; aunts, Alicia Broadus, Alexis “Reesy” Broadus, and Mary Huggins; uncles, Kevin Broadus, Michael Broadus, Kirk Huggins, and Carl Huggins; godparents, Darin and Patricia Laston; devoted best friends, Alexiz Rucker and Williscea Taylor; friend and manager at Fairfield Inn & Suites, Rachel; dear friend, Rontrell Rucker; friend, Javante’ Griffin; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
