Vera M. Alexander 74 gained her heavenly wings on July 18, 2025. She was born on April 24, 1951, to the late Seabron, and Pauline Willis.
Vera attended Central High School laying the foundation for a life defined by hard work and fierce devotion to family.
On July 22, 1970 she married her soulmate Percy Jr. and in the home they shared, They had a loving partnership for over five decades. To their union, they raised three sons Percy Alexander III, Quincy and Julius Alexander.
Vera worked in the cleaning industry until retiring in 2010. She enjoyed watching wrestling. Her favorite wrestlers were The Undertaker, The Rock and Sasha Banks. She loved crocheting and her youngest son helping her ball her yarn while watching wrestling on the tv or even on her dvds. Vera crocheted hats, scarves and mittens for Christmas. She made blankets for almost everyone in the family.
Vera never was one for biting her tongue; she always shot straight from the hip. If you knew her, she always kept it real. Even so, she was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, auntie and friend and will be truly missed.
Vera was preceded in death by mother, Pauline Willis (Watkins), Father Seabron Willis; Grandsons Percy Alexander IV and Jontae Alexander.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Percy Alexander Jr, Sons Percy Alexander III, Quincy and Julius Alexander. Granddaughter Breonna Alexander. Sisters Linda Stewart, Rosemary Harrison, Nieces Della Stewart, Denia Martin, Marie (Steven) Rigby, Francine Harrison, Aretta Harrison, Nephews Jailen (Monica) Stewart, and Charles (Angela) Harrison, and many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
