Tomynda Cherie Perdue-Liddell, born on June 12, 1980, in Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on May 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
She was the beloved daughter of Joyce Ann Perdue and the late Tommy L. Windom Jr., a bright light in the lives of many, remembered for her radiant smile, compassionate heart, and unwavering devotion to family and faith.
Tomynda was a proud graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Class of 1997. She furthered her education at the University of Akron, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 2006. Her commitment to helping others shone through in her career as a life and health insurance broker, where she served her clients with care, integrity, and kindness.
In June 2001, Tomynda married Tyrone Liddell, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with love, family, and growth. Tomynda’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a dedicated member of Anointed Word of Life from 2008 until her move to Florida in 2015, where she continued to grow in her spiritual journey. Tomynda had a special love for cooking and baking—an art, she turned into a passion and a business. In 2006, she established Lady’s Signature Bakes, a catering company that brought joy to countless families and friends, from Ohio to Florida. Her creativity, skill, and love for family shone brightest in the kitchen—especially when baking every single birthday cake for her beloved grandchildren. Tomynda’s sweet treats were more than just desserts; they were an expression of her heart, her love, and her care for those around her.
Above all, Tomynda cherished her family. She was a loving mother to her children: Jaslyn (Delvonte) Smith-Andrew (31), Ali Grose (29), and Anthony Liddell (9)—her pride, her joy, and her legacy. She adored her five grandchildren: Payton Smith-Andrew, Kyree Smith-Andrew, Delvonte Smith-andrew, Oriyah Smith-Andrew, and Shiloh Grose. She shared a special bond with her siblings: Shaquida Perdue, Quinton Davis, and Denzel Perdue.
She also leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss her dearly, including her mother, Joyce Ann Perdue; her grandmother, Velmae Windom; her aunts, Dorothy Perdue, Pamela (Ray) Thompson, Jeanette (Oscar) Lee, and Lucille Powell; her uncles, James Perdue Jr., Steve Johnson, Terry Johnson, Walter (Rikky) Windom Jr., J.W. (Stephanie) Windom Jr., Jason Windom, and Michael (Yvonne) Windom; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Tomynda also shared an unbreakable bond with her lifelong friends Amberly King, Cristina Torrence, Julie Jordan, Ayeesha Owens, and Tionna Perdue(sister/cousin), who walked alongside her through life’s many chapters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy L. Windom Jr.; her grandparents, James and Sadie Perdue and Tommy L. Windom Sr.; and her cousin JW Windom Jr. Tomynda’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her beautiful spirit, sense of humor, and deep faith will continue to inspire and uplift all who were blessed to share in her life. As a reflection of Tomynda’s faith and the strength she drew from her spiritual journey, we remember these words from Isaiah 43:1-3: But now, this is what the Lord says—He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”
