Thomas L Smith Sr.

Thomas Lewis Smith Sr. passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023.

He was born September 3, 1932 in Charleston, West Virginia to Lewis and Ruby Smith. He later moved to
Akron, Ohio where he worked and retired from BF Goodrich after over 30 years of service.

He is preceded in death by the only women he has ever loved Elar Robertson Smith; Parents, Lewis and Ruby
Smith; Brothers, Percy and Stanford; Sister Georgeann.

He leaves to mourn his passing; devoted daughters, Tanya Kelly ( Robert Kelly) and Cynthia Peavy; Son Thomas Smith Jr.; Grandchildren, Jasmine Peavy, Phantasia Smith, Taylor Anderson, Kody Kelly, Tristan Smith and Konner Smith, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Throughout his life, he had a passion for cooking, golfing, fishing, horse racing, and traveling. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the baseball field watching his grandson play. Thomas was also a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes. He also just loved being around his family.
