Richard Wallace Clark Jr., lovingly known as "Dubie" or "Rick" to his friends & Family, passed away peacefully in Akron, Ohio, on May 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was 65 years old. Rick was born on February 4, 1960, at Mercer Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey, to Diane Steele (formerly Walker) and Richard Wallace Clark Sr. He was the eldest grandson of Arthur and Winifred Clark and great-grandson of Ballard and Pinky Clark. Rick was a proud graduate of Cornell University, where he developed a lifelong love for learning. A successful entrepreneur, Rick owned Giftek LTD and Broad Street Vintage, where his passion for technology and vintage collectibles shone through his work. Rick was known for his sense of humor, his quick wit, and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He was the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a story. Family was everything to Rick, and he made it a point to attend every family gathering, never wanting to miss an opportunity to spend time with loved ones. Rick was a man of deep faith in Jesus Christ. In his final days, he focused on his relationship with the Lord and cherished the time he had with family and friends. Rick is survived by his beloved son, Preston J. Clark; his cherished grandchildren, Princess Clark and Brendan Chapman Thomas; his parents, Diane Steele and Richard Wallace Clark Sr.; his brother, Michael Clark; his sister, Kristen Steele; and many other loving family members. Rick’s legacy of love, faith, laughter, and togetherness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
