Minnie Smith

Minnie Magdalene Smith (Granny) passed away November 29, 2022, after a long courageous fight. She was born January 2, 1950, and she attended and graduated from Barberton City Schools. Minnie was a Respiratory therapist at Akron general Medical Center for nearly 20 Years. She was also employed at Parrish medical Center in Florida for over 10 years.

Minnie is proceeded in death by her mother and father Annie and David Byrd; Daughter Wanda Lynette Jackson, Sisters Glorida Broden and Gladys Cameron, Brothers Joseph (Mickey) and Lawrence Byrd, Nephews Eugene Bronson, David Byrd and Brian (Keithie) Cameron.

She is survived by husband Marc Smith; Daughter, Gwenette Jackson and sister Mattie (Terry) Franks. She also leaves all her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she dearly loved so much; Summer (Rashaud) Dorsey, Donovan Jackson, Raymond Jackson, Rylee Jackson, DeAllen Jackson, Larry Jackson and greats Levi Dorsey, Zion Jackson, Zayla Jackson, Kaden Jackson and Jaylyn Prince Jackson.

She also leaves many others who loved her including the whole Smith Family, Sister in Laws Helen and Patti Smith, Brother-in-law Gary Smith, Dear friend Sharon Shell and Staci Goodman and many others who were so precious to her, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews

Minnie was a beautiful soul who loved so many. She will always be remembered for her beautiful way of loving others unconditionally and her No Nonsense way of putting things and keeping us in order.

She was kind, strong, patient, resourceful, the family News Commentator, most of all forgiving and goes without saying an absolute beautiful soul. She will be missed beyond measures. We love you so much Mom/Granny and we'll always have all the sweetness and love you gave us in our hearts forever.
