La’Shon A. Rose, 55, entered Eternal Rest on Sunday. August 4, 2024. She was born July 23, 1969, in Hinesville, Georgia, to the late La’Shon Smith-Campbell and Willson Campbell.
La’Shon, affectionately known as Red, moved to Akron, Ohio, at an early age. After graduating high school, she started a family and began a career as a State-Tested Nursing Assistant that spanned more than 30 years. La’Shon was known for her natural beauty, class, and style, but most notably her famous blonde hair. She enjoyed spreading positivity through her daily social media posts and was known for her selfies featuring ‘Granny Ma.” La’Shon often said, “Tell someone in passing that it’s going to be alright.” Her life was a testament to the power of positivity and perseverance.
We invite you to acknowledge and celebrate La’ Shon’s tremendous strength and perseverance. “Job well done, Red Rose; you won the race.”La’Shon was welcomed into heaven by her grandmother, Charlie Mae Brown, Uncle Nathaniel Smith Jr., father Melvin Leathers, Uncle Stanley Smith, and her mother, La’Shon Smith-Campbell.
La’Shon was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, granddaughter, daughter-in-law, and friend who took the most pride in being called Mamaw. She will forever be remembered and cherished by her husband, Jeffrey Rose, and her children, Stephine Robinson, Sharelle Robinson, and Paris Rose. Siblings: Thomas Brown Jr., Wilson (Kimberly) Campbell II, Adrian Campbell, Mark Leathers, Rodney Leathers, Melvin Leathers, and Jeanmela Murray- Leathers. Grandchildren: Ava Rose Harris, “Granny Ma,” Ashton Clark “Papa,” Mia McCoy, and Brooklyn La’Shon Ellis, “Mamaw’s Girlfriend.”
Cousins: Melynda Miller, Sherard Smith, Shelton Smith Sr, Nicole Jones, Nathaniel Smith III, Kyle Smith, Jerome (Bethany) Smith, Keedon Smith, April Smith, Kayla (Hussam) Hafidi.
