Jesse S. Davis

Jesse Steven Davis Sr. was born on January 10, 1970, in Akron, Ohio to Mabel V.Woods and Jesse L. Davis. He passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family. Jesse graduated from East High School with the class of 1988. He was a true “Jack of all trades”, who spent the majority of his life working as a professional exterminator, but later found his purpose working as a Juvenile detention officer. He was extremely proud, dedicated, and compassionate when it came to the impact he had on the youth, while never placing judgement and being their supporter during times of fear and uncertainty. Aside from his career, he was known for his helpful nature, he was always just one call away for anyone in need. He was straightforward, authentic, and unafraid to say what needed to be said, delivering truth with both confidence and compassion. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Woods and Jesse Davis; sister Erica Davis; and cousin Erica Scruggs. He is survived by his loving wife Kati Davis and his nine children; Constance(Gerreil), Janae(Cordell), Erikka(Anthony), Jesse Jr(Brittany), Jessica(Trevon), Ashlie(Chico), Jada, Myles, Jessean: 20 Grandchildren; sister Domonique Woods; Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and lifelong friends. His life leaves a legacy of compassion, integrity, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten.
