Fred Varner Sr.

Fred Varner Sr., 92, of Akron, passed away on September 4, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born on May 7, 1927 to Cornelia “Corneal” Vinson and Harvey Varner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Varner; brother, Bell Varner; son, Vicktor Varner; daughter, Samara Varner; grandson, Samahn Varner; and special friend, Shirley Edwards. Fred leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Jurlande and Derba Varner of Akron; and Susie Neeley of Chandler, AZ; sons, Fred (Sallie) Varner Jr, and Johann (Crystal) Varner; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday September 10, 2019 from 11-12pm with the funeral service immediately following at Wilkinson Funeral Home 1158 S. Arlington St. Akron, OH 44306.
