Frances L. Jones

Frances L. Jones, 80, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2025. She was born in Eufaula, Alabama on April, 27, 1945 to the late George Jones, Sr., and Ruth Mae Jones. She was a resident of this community for 74 years. She attended Bryant Elementary School and graduated from Akron North High School. She was formally employed by Akron City Hospital and The Holiday Inn. She was a former member of both Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. H. B. Washington and Christ Is The Answer Ministries, under the Pastorate of J. Michael Martin, Sr. and was currently covered by Overseer E. Renea’ Collins of Kingdom Grace Fellowship Church located in Mansfield, Ohio.

Preceded in death by Grandparents, Thomas & Lillie Mae Flinn; parents, George and Ruth Mae Jones; brothers, George “Sleepy” Jones, Jr. and Willie (Bubble) Jones; Sister-In Laws, Sharon Jones and Diane Peterson; niece, Tammy R. Jones & nephew Anthony “Binkie” Keys, and cousin Willa Dean Strong. Her legacy will be carried on through her devoted son and daughter in law, Lavel & Pam Jones; special son, Dino “Romeo” Hill; beloved niece Tracy (Ulysses) Williams; grandchildren, Muhammad (Mary), Nicole, Tieka, Tawanna, and Donte’; 12 great-grandchildren; nephews, Richard Jones, Anthony Dash, Lawrence Alford, Sherwood Wheeler and Ali Jamal; nieces, Sugar Logan, Toni Dash, Shauntay Jones, Ciara Brooks, Shandelia Young; cousins Richard Allen, Emma Smith, Danielle Barnes, Sandra Horton and the Strong Family; lifelong friends, Gerry, Penny, Joanne, Phyllis, Diane, Marcella, Noonie, and Ms. Margaret; special thanks to her caregiver Sonya Skipper, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Frances was an avid lover of Roller Skating, Bingo and Fishing. She enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She never met a stranger whom she didn’t love. To know her was to love her. Frances was loved by many and will be tremendously missed by everyone. We will forever remember her smile and her laughter in our hearts.
