Charlie Mitchell Jr.

Charlie Mitchell Jr.,74, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday February 14, 2026 surrounded by love and family after a brief illness.

Charlie was born on June 1, 1951, in Dermott, Arkansas to Nebraska Carolina and Charlie Mitchell Sr. On December 26, 1972 he enlisted in the U.S. Marines where he served until he was honorably discharged on October 9, 1974

On November 7, 1988 Charlie married the love of his life Bernice Carroll and they remained lovingly committed to each other and their family for 37 years.

Charlie enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed sports and spending time with his family.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Nebraska Carolina and Charlie Mitchell Sr., his son Michael D. Jackson Sr., brothers Lamar Mitchell, Eugene Jackson, Frank Jackson, and sister Minnie Jackson.

Charlie is survived by his loving devoted wife Bernice. His children Edward (Kenosha Sykes) Jackson, Kolaiah Ben (Tzophiyah) Israel, Kenneth (Kimberly) Carroll, Stephanie (Richard) Milbry, and Marlon Carroll. Grandchildren: T’iona, Hannah, Hezekiah, Tamir, Leigah-Maurneit, Jordan-Giovonne, Kenneth (Sierra) II, Tai-Lauren, Nahdia-Rianne, Sa’Vaun, Seviyon, Sy’Viarre, Skiyler, Ryilen, Rikyiah, My’onna, Marlon Jr., and Marlayah. 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Sisters: Lisa (Daniel) McGee, Loretta Rashad, Rosie Irving, Veargia Allen, Renee Allen-Maisonet, Clara Allen-Harris. Brother Richard Allen. As well as a host of other family members and close friends.
