Bessie Lee Washington

Bessie Lee Washington was called home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2026, in Akron, Ohio. Born August 31, 1948, in Jasper Texas to her late parents, Ivory Johnson and Beatrice Macklin. Bessie was very vibrant, loved, full of joy and loved helping others.She enjoyed cleaning houses, dancing and serving the Lord. Bessie was known for some of the best cooking and loved being in the kitchen. While her lively spirit and enthusiasm will be missed, her loving memory will remain adored, admired and preserved my many.

Bessie was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Macklin and father, Ivory Johnson, Sisters: Lucille, Gwendolyn and LillieMae, Brothers: Erin and Jerry, grandson: Cedric Jr. and Aunt Berthamae. Bessie is survived by her five children Pearl Washington, Charles Washington Jr., Deidre Clark, Tamika Washington and Natarsha Upshaw; five siblings Goldie, Cindy, Donnie, Diane, and Victoria; ten grandchildren Patrick Jr., Jonathan Sr., David, Lashon, Andre, Derrick, Richelle, Richae, Richiera and Jeremiah; Great grandchildren and a host of beloved friends and family.
