Alberta ‘Teeny’ Williams, 76, went to her heavenly reward on March 9, 2023. She was born on
July 10, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Randall and Alberta
Hocker and siblings, Randall Hocker Jr. and Kathleen Cox.
Teeny was a God-fearing woman, raising her children, Christine and Anthony (Charlotte) in the
Pentecostal, Apostolic Faith. Teeny was a dedicated usher, choir member and servant in the
PAW and UPC churches. After relocating to Akron, OH she became a faithful member of Zion
Apostolic Faith Church until her health began to fail. She was a proud mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister and true friend.
She was also an advocate of learning; in her younger years she was a nurse’s aide, and operated a
day care. She attended Ohio University Eastern encouraging her children and students to pursue
higher education. She was an educator’s assistant in Martins Ferry, Ohio schools for 33 1/2
years. Her favorite things to do was gospel singing, (The Hocker Sisters) reading and crocheting.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Christine Williams, Boardman OH., Anthony
(Charlotte) Williams, Akron OH; her siblings, Frank Hocker (Marilyn), Springfield OH., Luvinia
Hocker, St. Clairsville, OH., Ken Hocker, Los Angeles California; grandchildren, Marcus
Massey, Akron, OH., Dayna (Marcus) Dixon, Dayton, OH., and her treasured grand babies
Christian Massey and Cory Dixon. She will be remembered and loved by a host of nieces,
nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, siblings, extended family and friends. Teeny had a caring heart,
her laughter and encouraging words will be greatly missed.
